Lillian Elizabeth Leptic

September 25, 1949 ~ May 16, 2020 (age 70)

Lillian Elizabeth Leptic, 70, of Frostburg, passed away on Saturday, May 16, 2020, after courageously battling COPD for over 20 years.

Born September 25, 1949, in Cumberland, she was the daughter of the late James and Elizabeth (Stevenson) Winters.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, John Leptic Jr., and her brothers James and George Winters.

Lil was a graduate of Beall High School, class of 1967, and spent her entire career working in the housekeeping department at Frostburg State University before retiring due to medical complications.

A Methodist by faith, Lil was guided by her love for her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.  Notably, she would always post words of inspiration and scriptures on Facebook for all her family and friends.

Lil is survived by her husband of 51 years, John “Flick” Leptic, her son, Michael, her granddaughters, Tylar Raine and Kaeli, her brother Harold Winters, and wife Sandy, her daughter-in-law, Traci, her niece, Shannon Winters, and her nephews, John Winters and wife Mara, Jim Winters, and Sean Winters, and her sister-in-law Linda Leptic, and husband Jessie Broadwater.

Per Lil’s wishes, she will be cremated, and there will be no viewing or services.  A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

The family would like to thank the Western Maryland Hospice Service’s staff for their assistance over the past several months and to Nick Durst, and the entire staff of Durst Funeral Home, in Frostburg, who was entrusted with the arrangements.

Lil was a special person who warmed the hearts of all who knew her.  She loved her family with all her heart, especially her granddaughters, Tylar, and Kaeli.  The love she shared for her family and friends was indeed one of a kind.  We love you, we will miss you, and we know one day we will see you again.
