Robert C. “Tates” Stevens

83, of Mount Savage, passed away Wednesday, March 11, 2020 at Mountain City Center.

Born July 9, 1936 to the late Herbert and Minnie (Nicodemus) Stevens; he is preceded in death by his parents, brothers, John W. Stevens and Thomas J. Stevens and sisters, Betty Hice, and Estella Howsare.

Tates was a number one fan of the Pittsburgh Steeler and the Pirates team.

Surviving are his wife, Alice Stevens; brother, William Stevens, special great great nephews, Colton Green and Mason King and numerous nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received at Durst Funeral Home, 57 Frost Avenue, on Sunday, March 15, 2020 from 5 to 8 pm.

Funeral services will be at the funeral home on, Monday, March 16, 2020 at 10 am with Chris Skidmore officiating.

Interment will be in Rest Lawn Memorial Gardens.

Pall Bearers will be John King, Derek King, Chase Green, Eugene Helmstetter, Leonard Howsare and Lenny Howsare.
