In addition to her parents, Ruth was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years Gary J. Taylor, and her second husband of the last 2 years Fred A Pfeiffer.

She is survived by her siblings, Eleanor Miller- Frostburg, Sandy Kamauf and husband Ray - Myersville, MD. Nick Edwards - San Mateo California, and Robert Edwards Frostburg. Also surviving are her children; Diana Iman - Frostburg, Jim Taylor and wife Perri - Frostburg, Johnny Taylor and significant other Annette Eaton- Vancouver Washington, Tommy Taylor and wife Molly - Lonaconing, Gary Taylor and wife Kim - Frostburg, Danny Taylor and wife Shannon - Gresham Oregon, 12 grandchildren and 5 great children.

Ruth/Mom was a rock in the lives of all who loved her and all she loved. She was a devoted wife. To her siblings she was what any sister or brother would have wanted- honest, caring, thoughtful and just down right awesome.

From her children;

Our mother is the one, from the beginning of our lives that would tell us these words, I love you as she holds us tight.

Our mother is the one that when we would fall would always be there, we need only to call.

Our mother with her smile so bright, that no matter what life was like would always say, everything will be alright.

Our mother is the one when the pain seemed too much would chase it away with her soft gentle touch. As we grew older with each new day, we still hear our mother say, your life is so special because God has made it that way.

Because of our mother these words from our hearts we always will say; thank you God for the mother we were blessed with every day.

Ruth spent her life serving others first as she believed wholeheartedly in loving God and loving others. She taught us that if you value others more than yourself then your value will increase. She considered you more than a friend, she considered you family and she exemplified that, especially in the final years of her life at the Frostburg Heights apartments where she lived. She considered that her calling in life, to give life and to give love to a very special and wonderful group of people; and to be able to watch that as her children will forever solidify in our hearts the value of our mom.

Ruth was cremated in accordance with her wishes.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
